So every time General Conference comes rolling around, I get really excited.
Not only do we get to hear from our Prophet and his council, but my Mom makes these AMAZING apple muffins that are truly to die for!
Apple Muffins
Sift together:
1 1/2 cups flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 cup sugar
Add:
1/3 cup shortening
Blend in:
1 egg
1/3 cup milk
Stir in 1 1/2 cups shredded apple. Fill well-greased muffin cups 2/3 way full. Bake at 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Dip in 1/4 cup melted butter then roll in mixture of 1/2 cup sugar and 1 tsp. cinnamon. Enjoy!
These are to die for!

Graduation Attire
So, Taylor and I are graduating at the beginning of May!
I want to look sharp!
So, my cute dress hunt has began. I always have a hard time finding dresses that are long enough for me (hence the reason I never wear them, i'm 5'10!), so this is me solving the problem!
On Pinterest I found this amazing idea!
Here is the dress that I absolutely LOVE! I plan on wearing a cardigan with it, of course. But, from the looks of it, the dress will land probably mid thigh on me. The solution? Extender slip.
Isn't this the most incredible idea ever!? It seriously makes me happy. Here is a picture of it with a skirt. Click on the photos for the tutorial!

Stylin'!
So this winter I got a bit bored with my wardrobe, and after putting together several different pieces I had NO idea that went together, this is what I came up with! I love re-discovering my clothes!
I also tried out the new brown/black combo, its very different, but I really liked it!
ALSO! I found another EASY tutorial on pinterest! If you go to this cute blog you will find the tutorial!
I have seen these around, and have wanted one forever! (they are also SO comfortable because they are made of old t-shirts!) Now my sister wants me to make her one :)
Let me know what you think!

Chicken Caesar Sandwiches
Today i'm trying this yummy recipe! Lately all I have been craving is chicken caesar salads. Then I found this recipe on pinterest, and I have wanted to make it ever since! Right now the chicken is in the crock pot! I couldn't find the specific brand of dressing she used, so i'm using a cheaper version. Thanks Chef in Training!!

Hungry!
This weekend we got to see this movie! After waiting in line for 4.5 hours, and getting the LAST two tickets, we finally got to see The Hunger Games! I read the books about 2 years ago, and loved them! I'm re-reading them because I want to see how much alike the book is to the movie! I really feel like the movie was exactly as I pictured the story to be!
We are approaching the last month of school (hooray!) and then we will be moving up to Logan to attend USU! We have our apartment all ready to go, now we are just waiting to hear back on jobs :)
I'm learning more about blogging, and hopefully my blog will become cooler soon!

Firsts
This weekend we drove down to Moab, met up with my sister, mom and friend, and ran my first half marathon!! Last year my mom and sister ran, but I didn't. After watching them finish, all I wanted to do was run with them! So after 2 and a half months of training...I FINISHED! It was definitely easier than I thought it would be! Here are some pictures :)
Also, we took a little drive over to Arches National Park! Neither Tay or I had been there before (same with Mom and Bay) so we decided to go! We didn't hike all the way up to the delicate arch (we were so tired!) but we did go to the upper viewpoint. It was so beautiful there!
